FAQ

What do I need to do to try out Foam?

Connect your GitHub account and point Foam at your repositories. Foam scans your codebase and opens a setup PR. Merge it and data starts flowing. You never write code or instrument anything yourself.

What does Foam cover?

Everything your stack emits, frontend to backend: distributed traces, logs, metrics, and errors across your services, plus session replays, Web Vitals, and network activity in the browser. Sessions are stitched end to end, so a click connects to the exact backend queries it triggered. Foam also traces LLM and agent workloads, including prompts, responses, token usage, and multi-step runs.

How long does installation take, and what happens during it?

Scanning your repositories takes 20 to 40 minutes, and installing and testing each selected app takes 2 to 5 hours, depending on repository size and service count. It is all hands-off: Foam fills any visibility gaps it finds and runs test traffic to confirm every signal lands. You finish with a coverage report and guaranteed full visibility.

Do I need to uninstall other observability tools?

No. Foam runs alongside your existing tools, and installation guarantees they keep working exactly as they do today.

What if Foam doesn't have the telemetry to answer a question?

It fills the gap. Foam opens a PR adding the missing telemetry, and once deployed, it answers the question.

Avi
AviAtlas · CTO

“I used to lose a whole day checking my changes in prod. Now I just ask Foam and get answers in seconds.”
